Sheffield Wednesday themselves were comfortably undone by Bristol City (0:3) last weekend, conceding twice under pressure — so Grimsby should fancy their chances of at least nicking a goal.
That points to goals rather than a tight affair. Both teams to score is an option, but the safer play looks the over 2.5. Either side could win big if things fall their way, and let’s not forget Sheffield Wednesday already put five past Grimsby in this competition in 2023 (5:1).
